Kumdo:
"Kum" meaning sword and "Do" meaning the way or the path of’. Together
the term is literally the "way of the sword". It is a martial art
tradition originating back to the ancient warrior class.
Spiritual maturity, inner strength, calmness
of the soul, and purity of heart combined with strength and speed is the
"essence" of Kumdo.

Coming in
January 2007 Hapkido
We are looking forward to adding additional curriculum to the
Center. Hapkido is also a traditional Korean martial art that has a
different focus then Tae Kwon Do. This martial art is known for using
the opposition’s chi against them. The art includes hand and foot
strikes, joint locks, pressure point manipulation and ground fighting
techniques. We are very excited to bring this martial art to
Hudson.
